Today was a lazy day on the sea.

In the morning little sis and I went to breakfast at the Silver Lounge. She had a ham and cheese omelet. I had pancakes with strawberry jam. I think I prefer maple syrup. In fact I know I do. The waiter wasn’t nice about getting me tea to go with the hot water I asked for – but if he had brought the tea with the hot water when I asked for hot tea he wouldn’t have to run back and get the tea selection.

I tried to play bingo but got there too early so I sat down to listen to the tail end of the shopping talk for Cozumel and won two shot glasses, a case of vanilla extract, and a beach bag. At bingo I didn’t win. Could have used $500 to shop in Cozumel! lol :)

Then Mom and I went to the Tanzanite showcase – all very ordinary. Not like what I found with her on a previous cruise. There were a few pieces we thought could be fun if we won the drawing – but we didn’t.

Found out that middle sis forgot to help me pack the one thing I had asked her to do or to remind me to do. I have no swimsuit now. So annoying. Next time I will just do it myself instead of ask for a reminder or help.

At the time I discovered the missing swimsuit, middle sis had found a friend on the boat from school, and that friend was very rude. I asked her to stop. Middle sis didn’t like that. Got out of the room as fast as possible.

Something Dad and I don’t like is the popcorn machine on the Lido Deck. It’s always empty, but it smells like it was recently in use. We’re always told later, later, but not when. Couldn’t they just tell us when so we don’t keep wandering back here for nothing?

We went and gambled a little in the casino and lost.

5 PM – 7 PM: Luckily I fit into Mom’s bathing suit. It actually looked pretty good which surprised me. Little sis and I went swimming. Brr… or not. Pools are salt water (Can I say ouch? Don’t go swimming in salt water after shaving your legs. It hurts like the dickens.) We made friends with the only other kid down there, a 10 year old boy who surfs short board and has traveled quite extensively – the Sahara desert is his favorite place.

After formal dinner the whole family saw the world showcase. I loved the Irish section. Lots of the moves were simple enough to mimic, but probably harder to do on a moving boat than it looks.

Read a little before bedtime and slept pretty good. I love the comforter. It’s soft and thick.
